WHAT IS CITY STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE?

AND WHY YOU SHOULD CARE.

City State Central Committee represents the Maryland Democratic Party in Baltimore City. 42 members are elected or appointed representing six legislative districts.

 

Members work to

  • Build the Democratic Party

  • Inform voters on the issues

  • Support and encourage potential Democratic Candidates 

  • Raise funds for the Democratic Party

  • Endorse and support all Democratic Nominees in the General Election. 

Monthly meetings are open to the public but only City State Central Committee members may vote. There is no compensation for this position and Members volunteer their time for the success of the party.

City State Central Committee members are elected by registered Democrats. The legislative district you live in will dictate who you can vote for. Only the top seven vote getters will be elected for each district. 

Electing City State Central Committee members to represent you is important! You want to elect members who will hold our elected officials accountable. Insuring that the Democratic Party is accessible for all!
